Troll Plot Summary :

As they work together to try and stop a horrible entity from wreaking devastation across the nation, a gang of outcasts is followed in Troll. An explosion deep in the Dovre mountains shakes the region, unleashing a massive beast that terrorizes the residents and terrorizes the agricultural environment.

This monstrosity sets its sights on Oslo and begins a deliberate march there, destroying everything in its route. It's up to Paleobiology specialist Nora Tidemann, Prime Minister's advisor Andreas Isaksen, and Army Captain Kris to try and find a solution before it's too late to avert inevitable devastation.

Tobias, Nora's father, who is the local expert in folklore and Trolls, further complicates matters. The only issue is that Nora and her insane father are alienated from one another, which could cause problems. However, can they put aside their disagreements to tackle Norway's enormous problem?

Does Tobias live or die? :

Things don't go according to plan during the first military engagement with the Troll. The behemoth is unaffected by explosions and gunfire, and it is also capable of smelling the blood of specific soldiers. Tobias stands up and makes an effort to calm the thing down after it has consumed one of the troops engaged in combat with the group. He seems to be successful as he stretches out his arms.

However, a different car shows up and pelts the troll with gunfire. Tobias is struck by the troll's tail and sent flying and crashing to the ground as it turns and crushes the people within with a single boot.

"Hear me, my child. Believe…” Before he can further develop his remarks, he says to Nora and then disappears.

What is the troll in Oslo after? :

The Prime Minister delivers a speech on television to try to soothe the nation after a failed operation employing church bells that resulted in the deaths of three helicopters and their destruction. By announcing an evacuation and making sure all nearby regions are clear, she evacuates Oslo. Watch out for one another, and may God bless every one of us as well as our nation. She claims.

As a result of everyone departing, Nora experiences a lightbulb moment. While leaving, she turns around and goes back to Oslo because she thinks there is a clue in the Royal Palace there. This explains the reference to the man who is currently dwelling within what was made in her father's journal as "Sinding."

When Nora and Andreas are carried to the Royal Palace's underground tunnels, Sinding admits that he and the other officials killed Tobias to keep their secret safe. The bone remains of a Troll family that were buried are that secret.

Family is everything to trolls, and during Norway's conversion to Christianity, the troll king was lured to the Dovre Mountain, imprisoned, and left for dead. Naturally, the previous bombs freed him, and he is now returning to Oslo to find his children.

How does one stop the troll? :

Nora gets an idea when she shines her UV light on the bones and hears them sizzle.

Taking control of the Queen's pickup, Nora calls Captain Kris to position him. Sigrid's abilities back at HQ come in help to hack into the military fighter plane's system and stop it from shooting missiles at the creature as the Troll approaches and moves toward the city center. By staging a system failure from a distance, Sigrid prevents them from doing so.

Nora's plan is still very much intact, and Andreas provides her with some words of support when she begins to doubt herself because Oslo is still standing. The skull of one of the Troll children discovered underneath is revealed when they take off the heavy tarp from the back as they leave.

When the Troll accidentally breaks the skull and finds it no longer has any family, it turns to Nora and Andreas, determined to exact revenge. It pursues them as Sigrid is exposed for stealing the system at HQ.

Nora narrowly avoids being crushed to death when she leaps out of the pick-up just before the Troll is about to trample her. Armed forces trucks encircle the Troll and start projecting intense UV light onto it. They start to turn on one at a time, cooking the creature.

How is Troll resolved? :

Nora abruptly switches off all of the lights and begs the Troll to leave while it is trapped in place by the UV lights. Kris orders everyone to stop the fire and stand back. "Go to a safe place." "Go back to the mountain," she begs.

There is a little period of peace before morning causes sunlight to unexpectedly filter in, causing the Troll to collapse. Nora delicately touches the creature just as it is about to turn completely stone and watches as the eye shuts and the danger is removed.

After earlier resolving her differences with her father, Nora decides to rename the location Tobias Boulder.

To pursue his goal of becoming a writer, Andreas also resigns from his position with the PM. "Do you believe there are any others? deep within a cave in the mountains?" As Nora beams and the movie ends, Andreas enquires.

Exists a post-credits scene? :

Yes! Keep watching as the scene shifts to Dovre Mountain, where a rumble in the distance causes several stones to move. All of the stones suddenly shoot into the air as a roar is heard. we finally go dark!
